Monday on 360…
A commercial ran last hour that says Michael will be featured on Monday’s AC360. It shows clips from the Anbar trip and from one of the Bekaa Valley pieces from last summer. While it doesn’t state that he will be in the studio with Anderson, I think that will be the case. The clip will be up on the site shortly.

Wow! My heart is skipping beats! I’m not going to get my hopes up though that Mick will be in the AC studio on Monday. I still think he is in France partying over the Wallabies 37 to 6 win over Canada. LOL

It will be very interesting to hear what he has to say and what format is chosen to present it.
I don’t mean to sound granola crunch hippie (which, btw, I am) but I wish there was no war in the world and Mick’s reports were on children’s birthday parties and banana bread. However since there is war I want to be as informed as possible about how it’s playing out.
For me the biggest thing I have learned from Mick’s reports is how important it is for the US to remain in Iraq. The “you broke it, you fix it” rule we learned in Kindergarten.
Rock on, Mick!

I think this is an exciting development. They are promoting AC360 using his name. He has become a brand. CNN must have enough feedback to realize that people will tune in specifically to see Michael Ware. That’s quite an accomplishment in a short period of time.
Of course, he fully deserves the acclaim. And I will, in fact, watch because he’s mentioned. Perhaps it would be worthwhile to e-mail CNN in support of this move. He has raised the standard of foreign correspondent to a new level - the Edward R. Murrow of foreign correspondents, as it were.
And everyone else seems deadly dull by comparison.

Thanks for posting the vid of the adv. It’s such a promo for Michael. That’s great. I just read the AC360 webpage and tonight’s program is not about Iraq… I hope Michael’s segments will still be aired.
And about the Rugby Word Cup, wherever Michael could be next Saturday, I’m sure it won’t miss to watch the 1/4 final, Australia-England! Surely one of the most interesting matchs of this world cup.

Well, I guess he got bumped because of Britney…
The commercial was still running during “Larry King” and the graphic at the end was updated at the end to say “Next” rather than “Monday 10pm.” And yet…
I’ve sent an e-mail to the Contact thing on the 360 page. I’ll post if they tell me anything, but I’m not holding my breath.

I emailed AC360 last night, too - as a somewhat irrate viewer who was making a point of watching the show to see Michael Ware. But no Ware! Why promo him then?
NOTHING transpired in the news (Britney, et al) that was worthy of bumping war news. Anderson has 2 hours, for goodness sake.
Still, it’s a good sign that they’ve built a promo piece around him. I’ve only seen them build a “general type” promo using one reporter in one other instance - for Christianne Ammanpour. Perhaps, I’ve missed the others, but usually they show their stable of reporters unless its for a Special Investigation. This Ware ad was general in nature … and only showed him. Good on him.

For whatever it’s worth, for tonight’s 360 they are promo’ing the insurance company story that was also bumped last night. However, they have not run Michael’s commercial so far today.
